“Squeak, CLANG! Jangle, jangle click,” sang the prison door and its lock. I sagged against the stone wall, face downcast. A forearm wiped my face, taking half of the rich red pulp away from my eyes, nose and mouth. I was so close! I sighed mentally. “Why,” I whispered to the empty room. It was going to be perfect, dashing down the street, down the alleyway behind the bakery and into the wine cellar of the tavern down the street. They'd never find me! And that all would've worked if Mr. Executioner's son hadn't come to save the day for Bernard. Ugh! He ruined everything. Chapter 1: The Ten of Swords

The Pillory-PrologueMy whole life, I'd never been so terrified of those three circles. They gaped ominously, toothless wolves ready to consume my skinny form. The one in the center was the leader, larger and fiercer. The smaller one on the side, his protectors. Not that the leader would need them to devour me whole. I had to remind myself that they weren't wolves, just holes in some wood. Nothing more than that. But it was. Pure fear, embarrassment and humiliation embodied in aging oak. The Pillory. My writing muse is back!

Chapter 1 of "The Pillory" is up.

Anyways, don't look at it because it's awful.

This week is spirit week at school. (had tin foil in my hair for Metallic Monday today). Homecoming is coming up, and I got 2 dresses to choose from at goodwill for 10 dollars. *Yay goodwill*

And halloween is coming up and I'm excited. XD My favorite holiday of the year. Probably going to be a fairy or something, but I don't know yet. Was thinking it would be a cool idea to go as one of my characters, though I don't think I can pull any of them off.

P.S. New max for squat=95 lbs!
